From the purchase of the first furnace in the 1600s to the construction of the new company headquarters in Mogliano Veneto in 2010, the company’s history has stayed true to two assumptions: it has remained a family history and has continued the tradition of the Murano glass processing, passing it down for generations.

Under the guidance of Gino and Luciano Vistosi, the company began to concentrate on the production of lighting systems. If the design of several collections is due to Luciano Vistosi, whose articles are still in production today, it was thanks to the entrepreneurial ability of Guglielmo’s nephews that came the intuition to start a fruitful collaboration with the designers of the time. From Gae Aulenti to Ettore Sottsass, from Vico Magistretti to Angelo Mangiarotti, the activity that was carried out in the ’60s and ’70s turned Vistosi into a brand where art and design are perfectly combined and take shape thanks to the skill of expert glassmakers.

In 1989 Giancarlo Moretti, an entrepreneur from Murano who had been working in the sector for a long time, took over the company and founded Vetreria Vistosi. Matteo Moretti, Giancarlo’s son, relaunched the brand. A deep productive and commercial reorganization was accompanied by important new collaborations with designers and creatives.

Vetreria Vistosi is a real craft industry whose production and decorative techniques make it one of the most competitive players on the market today. The never-ending activity of research and experimentation has won Vistosi a long series of awards and prizes.

Some of the collections have become milestones in the company’s history: Peggy, Futura, Ecos, Poc. The ability to control all creative processes internally allows the company to design products with high levels of customization, thus creating unique, tailor-made benchmarks.
